Unapologetic colour and presence celebrate self-expression, pride and the joyful power of taking up space exactly as you are.
This painting celebrates the iconic Peaches as the "Queen of Queerer," inspired by her bold stage presence and revolutionary artistry. The design draws on the concept of a playing card, with Peaches as the queen, embodying her fearless individuality.
Her infamous multi-breasted costume is reimagined here, amplifying its playful yet powerful symbolism. In the top left corner, I included a nod to her provocative installation featuring a pile of singing male masturbators, reflecting her boundary-pushing creativity. Peaches visited my home in Byron Bay Australia in 2024, where I had the incredible opportunity to paint her. These photos capture Peaches with the finished artwork, celebrating the collaboration and her enduring impact as a feminist and queer icon.
